Haron Robson’s engineering business has merged with BESTEC, bringing together two Australian engineering
consultancies with complementary experience and an established history of working together. Our NSW engineering operation will be known as Haron
Robson powered by BESTEC.
The merger formalises a relationship that began in 2023. It connects Haron Robson’s Sydney team with BESTEC’s teams in Adelaide and Melbourne, giving our clients access to a broader range of expertise across three cities.

For more than 40 years, Haron Robson has worked with clients to solve building services challenges across residential, commercial, hospitality, public and community projects. BESTEC brings its own depth of engineering experience. BESTEC is a full service MEP consultancy established in 1998 that has completed thousands of project across Asutarlian and teh Pacific.
Together,the merged engineering business brings together two established Australian engineering consultancies with complementary
experience, shared values and an existing history of working together.
Haron Robson brings more than 40 years of industry experience, established client relationships and specialist expertise across Electrical
Engineering, Communications, Security, Audio Visual and related Building Services.
Together, the expanded engineering team can provide Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire, Vertical Transportation, Sustainability/ ESD ,
Communications, Security, Audio Visual and Acoustic Services across Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.

Our clients will continue working with the Haron Robson people they know. The relationships, project knowledge and practical approach behind our work remain in place, now supported by the resources and experience of a larger team.
Expertise across our offices
For projects that need several disciplines working closely together, this connection creates more opportunities to draw on expertise across our offices. It also gives both teams the chance to share ideas and experience developed through different projects and sectors.
Lightmatters and Engineeringwise
Haron Robson’s specialist lighting design and strategy businesses have not formed part of the merger. These services will continue independently through lightmatters and engineeringwise. Where appropriate, they may work alongside BESTEC or be included as specialist subconsultants within a coordinated project proposal.
This structure gives clients access to broader multidisciplinary engineering resources while preserving the specialist, independent advice provided by lightmatters and engineeringwise.
