Haron Robson Wins Another Lighting Award

Earlier this year Haron Robson - lightmatters® was awarded a NSW IES Luminaire Design Award for St Peters Cathedral. This special luminaire (light fitting) was developed in conjunction with Clive Lucas Stapelton and Partners during the restoration of this classic Horbury Hunt designed building.

The purpose of these awards is to promote quality in the design and manufacture of luminaires within NSW. It is the second time Haron Robson have won this award and follows awards for lighting installations received in late 2009 for Bankstown District Sports Club's Grand Ballroom and TZG's Paddington Reservoir Gardens.

As of December 2025, major Australian airlines have introduced new restrictions on power banks after several in-flight fire incidents linked to lithium batteries. You can still bring a power bank onboard in your carry-on luggage, but you can’t use it during the flight or charge it using the aircraft’s power.

At lightmatters®, we spend our days thinking about how light affects how people feel, behave, and experience a space. During the holidays, we decided to explain that idea in the simplest way possible — by turning lighting design into something children can explore, colour, and play with.
