More mo. Less mullet

Movember 2025 — Not 1985

Back in October, for our 40th, I shared that photo from 1985 — yes, the full mullet–mo combo. Judging by the comments, that image is now permanently etched into more than a few retinas. Appreciate the enthusiasm… I think.

So, for Movember 2025, let’s set the record straight:
Yes, that was real hair.
Yes, that was a real moustache.
No, none of it was ironic. It was 1985. We were all just doing our best.

This month, the mo is making a comeback — but the mullet is staying safely in the archives where it belongs. Times change. Causes don’t.

Movember remains one of the best reasons to have a laugh, raise awareness and actually talk about men’s health, mental health and what it means to show up for your mates. If a photo of me looking like an extra from an INXS video clip helps start that conversation, I’ll take the hit.

If you can, please throw a donation towards Movember and check in on someone who might need a mate today.

In NSW, upgrading electrical capacity isn’t a single transaction with the network. It’s a regulated pathway, and the quality of decisions made right at the front end determine whether the process feels straightforward or becomes slow, expensive and frustrating. That front end is where Accredited Service Providers — ASPs — come in.
