Bennelong Bridge

Wentworth Point, Rhodes

Bennelong Bridge was announced as the new name for Homebush Bay Bridge, which opened 22 May 2016. Haron Robson worked for two years on this project linking the major developments at Rhodes and Wentworth Point.

The new Bennelong Bridge provides a direct link between two of Sydney’s fastest growing communities. It creates a new landmark in Sydney’s inner west and sets a benchmark for environmentally sustainable transport infrastructure in Sydney.

The bridge stretches 300 metres across Homebush Bay to link Rhodes and Wentworth Point and is accessible to pedestrians, cyclists & public transport and has the capacity to carry light rail in the future.
