Pitt Street Mall stands as an emblem of urban sophistication, where the interplay of light, materiality, and movement redefines the public realm. A beacon within Sydney’s commercial heart, the space is not only a thoroughfare but an experience—one sculpted by light, architecture and human engagement.
Haron Robson, in partnership with Tony Caro Architecture and Westfield, brought Pitt Street Mall to life with a striking catenary lighting system—suspended high above the street and powered by dynamic, programmable LEDs.
Blending strategy with creativity, Haron Robson turned light into a signature element of Pitt Street Mall—elevating safety, enriching the experience, and amplifying its pulse as a dynamic city destination.
