The Waterfront
Homebush Bay
Allen Jack+Cotter Architects designed and supervised construction of eight residential and community buildings - The Waterfront, Positioned
on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour, this development by Payce Consolidated is a model for contemporary urban lifestyle, with attractive
apartments, resort and sports facilities and a vibrant social scene. The Waterfront is a lively village with a piazza, restaurants and
cafes, art gallery, pool and various sports facilities.
Haron Robson provided detailed electrical and lighting design and documentation for Stage 1; concept masterplanning and electrical design
for Stages 2 to 5. We were initially engaged for the master planning and implementation of the lighting for the public areas and the
development of standards for the exteriors of the buildings. This project required the development of custom fittings to differentiate the
project from others in the area (which were also designed by this office). This commission has been subsequently extended to include
planning of the entire electrical services for the site, acting as Client representative on any electrical or lighting issue. We have been
working on the site since 1989.
