DFS Galleria Sydney is the result of an extensive and detailed design effort. The refurbishment of the DFS’s Sydney store commenced in 2011 and is a complete refurbishment of the existing store and extending to 9,000 sqm of retail space over six levels. The project is complex due to the amalgam of heritage and commercial spaces involved, the resultant mix of low ceilings and high volumes create interesting lighting issues.
Haron Robson provided creative lighting design advice, drawing on our extensive experience in retail and duty-free stores along with
Heritage building experience and sensitivity. The site is just a short walk from our Sydney studio and amongst many heritage and landmark
buildings for which we have provided creative and innovative lighting solutions. This new retail landmark was unveiled in September 2017.
