The annual National Trust Heritage Awards celebrate the contribution of those involved in projects which promote the conservation of Australia’s environmental, built or cultural heritage, and this year saw entries from large corporations, small companies, government bodies and individuals.

At yesterday’s awards ceremony at The Westin Sydney, two of the projects on which Haron Robson provided lighting solutions were honoured; with Sydney Town Hall winning the Conservation – Energy Management category and & St Peters Cathedral Armidale being highly commended for the interior re-lighting solution Haron Robson provided.

This is the third award Haron Robson has won for St Peters Cathedral, and the very first time a lighting design project has been recognised by the National Trust!! Hector Abrahams of Clive Lucas Stapleton Partners - legendary heritage architects - were our collaborators and the coordinators of the lighting solution which restored a Horbury Hunt design using the latest lighting technology in a sensitive and appropriate enclosure.

We played a small part in a team led by Tanner Architects on the Sydney Town Hall project, and our lighting upgrade works to the Lower “Peace” Hall created a much improved multi-purpose venue space for exhibitions, concerts, meetings, and community activities.

We thank and congratulate Tanner Architects and Clive Lucas Stapleton Partners, and look forward to working with them on more award-winning projects in the future.
