In response to the lack of LED standards, Lighting Council of Australia has introduced a Solid State Lighting Quality Scheme.

The SSL Quality Scheme is a voluntary industry program providing confidence to the market that a luminaire carrying the Scheme's label matches the performance claims made by the supplier.
